Avantaje Magazine and Avon Cosmetics Romania has designated the winners Woman of the Year 2009 Awards |

Avantaje magazine and Avon Cosmetics Romania announced the winners for the “Woman of the Year Awards 2009”, the 12th edition of the Gala. This year have been awarded nine excellence prizes in six categories.
The nine excellence prizes of this edition were: Promotion and Women Rights Protection, Promotion of Democracy Values, Promotion of Disadvantaged People Rights, Romanian Art Abroad Ambassador, Involvement and Social Responsibility and Initiative in Helping People
These nine awards of excellence of this edition are:
• Ana Revenco - President of „La Strada” Foundation from Chisinau, Moldova – for Promotion and Women Rights Protection;
• Ioana Magura Bernard - Journalist, one of the representative female voices of the Europa Libera radio station – for Promotion of Democracy Values;
• Katie Rizvi - Vice-President of „The Little People” Association, Association which is involved in specific medical rehabilitation problems of young patients and cancer survivors - for Promotion of Disadvantaged People Rights;
• Elena Mosuc - soprano with an impressive career of 20 years on all the major lyrical scenes of the world - Romanian Art Abroad Ambassador;
• Dana Deac – The Director of TVR 1 Public Station - for activities in creating and supporting the civil society in Romania – for Involvement and Social Responsibility;
• Mihaela Guias - Vice-President of „Copiii Impotriva Intunericului” Foundation, who has been raising and educating 15 abandoned children and orphans, aged between 3 and 17 years – for Initiative in Helping People;
• Natalia Ungureanu - coordinator of „Casa Agar” center, that offers shelter to young mothers with young children, in social risk cases, and the founder of a volunteers network taking care of abandoned newborns in maternities – for Initiative in Helping People;
• Florentina Opris - producer and presenter of two shows which run on Prima TV, President of „Pentru o Viata Sanatoasa” Association – for Initiative in Helping People;
• Monica Radu - priest wife, initiator of a caring center for disadvantaged elder people in the village of Voila, near Campina - for Initiative in Helping People;
